May 13, 2012 - Rev. Jon Baumann -
How would you define what a friend is? Some one wrote that “A friend is one who comes in when the whole world has gone out.” Clearly, a friend is someone you can trust to always do the right thing to maintain your relationship without any expectation of repayment. Is Jesus your friend? YES! He loves you so much that he laid down His life for you.

April 29, 2012 - Rev. Michael Zarling -
Throughout the Bible, we are called sheep. Being called sheep isn’t exactly a compliment. But is is an apt description of our lives of wandering away from and following our Good Shepherd. Jesus Christ.

There are very few people we allow to come into that close and personal space on a regular basis.
March 18, 2012 - Rev. Brian Adams -
Love is one of the most overuse words of all times. We “Love” nice weather, or a delicious meal or the smell of freshly mowed grass. But God’s love doesn’t express itself in terms of feelings or emotions. Rather, God’s love is expressed in actions and sacrifice. His love was the ultimate sacrifice to declare us “forgiven“ and claim us for Heaven.

February 26, 2012 - Rev. Randal W. Schoemann -
What benefits does Baptism give? It works forgiveness of sins, rescues from death and the devil, and gives eternal salvation to all who believe this, as the words and promises of God declare. Which are these words and promises of God? Christ our Lord says in the last chapter of Mark: Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. In today’s message we will hear how Jesus’ Baptism in the Jordan River sets the stage for Him accomplishing His mission to pay for our sins.

February 19, 2012 - Rev. Brian Adams -
Life is filled with peaks and valleys. Peaks are times to celebrate and to praise God - such as your wedding day, or the birth of your child. But valleys are life’s challenges - such as a diagnosis of cancer or the death of a loved one. These are times that can shake you faith. No matter what life brings us, we need to focus on praising God for His amazing grace and His amazing power.

February 12, 2012 - Rev. Joseph Fisher -
You probably remember an old soap commercial that talked about how hard it is to get things clean - really clean. You try scrubbing and soaking and you still end up with that ring-around-the-collar. It really seems so hopeless. Well, that’s a picture of the uncleanness of our sin, but the Good News is that when it comes to our sins, Jesus is always willing to make us be cleansed.

February 5, 2012 - Rev. Jim Behringer -
In today’s world of mega-churches, large staffs, and very large operating budgets, is it possible to minister to a congregation or effectively spread the Good News of the Gospel without putting money first?
January 29, 2012 - Rev. Allen L. Pingel -
An elderly woman walked into a large department store and approached a salesperson. She explained that she wanted to return an automobile tire she felt was unsuitable for her car. The woman explained that she had the tire with her but had lost the receipt. The salesperson discovered that she had been a longtime customer of his store, and said, “That’s not a problem. Would store credit be OK?” What’s extraordinary is the the store didn’t sell automotive equipment - not even tires. This is a modern day prophet story about people who received good things they didn’t deserve.

January 1, 2012 - Rev. Donald Hackbarth -
To be able to see is a blessing from God. God created us with eyes to see the wonders of His creation, to see the smile on a baby’s face, to see the words of Scripture and gaze into the mystery of our salvation. Second is the sight we received at Baptism, the sight that also reads Scripture and believers that salvation came to us in the Person of Jesus Christ.
