In Epiphany John the Baptist points to Jesus as the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. He called people to repent and look to Jesus. He called attention away from himself so that his message would be heard. God now sends his Son's message to us through Word and Sacraments. The Lamb of God and his Message is our true life with God. The message of the word reveals Jesus as the Lamb of God who takes away our sin.
